Hallo, mein Name ist Simon, bin 23 Jahre und wohne in Wien, Österreich! Seit meinem 10. Lebensjahr baue ich Plastikmodellbausätzte. Mein erstes Modell war eine F-16 Fighting Falcon, Maßstab 1/32 mit Elektronik. Da ich aber moderne Jets nicht so toll fand, stieg ich auf Autos um. In dieser ersten Phase meines Schaffens wurden ca. 20 PKWs und LKWs gebaut! Alle im Maßstab 1/24 bzw. 1/25. Da Porsche bis Trabbi auch nicht befriedigten baute ich ein paar Dioramen in 1/35. Zu meinem 12. Geburtstag bekam ich diese Heinkel He 111 H-6 von Italeri. Die Bemalung wurde damals noch frei gewählt bzw. nur teilweise dem Original entsprechend aufgebracht.

In this first periode of my model work approx. 20 cars and trucks were built! All in scale 1/24 or 1/25. Porsche and Trabbi did not satisfy me too, so I built a few dioramas in 1/35. To my 12. Birthday T got this Heinkel He 111 H-6 from Italeri. The painting was freely select and not very authentically.

Daher mußte entsprechende Fachliteratur her. Da ich damals nicht die richtigen Geschäfte kannte mußte aus dem Prospekt bestellt werden. Zu dieser Zeit gab es die Bücherreihe "Die deutsche Luftrüstung 1933-1945" recht billig zu bestellen! Ich überzeugte meine Mutter, daß ich die Bücher unbedingt brauchen würde, und ca. 2 Wochen später waren sie dann da! Wie sich Jahre später herausstellte war dies ein Standartwerk zum Thema Luftwaffe. So begann dieses scheinbar unheilsame Kapitel "Luftwaffe". Momentan stehen 72  gebaute  Flugzeuge   in  meinen teils zu Vitrinenumgebauten Kleiderkästen. 99 % davon sind deutsche Flugzeuge in 1/72. 
Manche fragen sich nun warum gerade aus dieser Zeit? Die revolutionären Entwicklungen, die den heutigen Stand in der Luftfahrt erst möglich machten, haben mich fasziniert. 
Der Zweck dieser Maschinen im zweiten Weltkrieg ist mir aber voll bewußt, und soll nicht vergessen werden.

Therefore I needed technical literature. I didn´t know the best shops for that, so I orderd some out of a folder. At this time there was the bookseries " The German Air Armament 1933-1945 " quite cheaply to order! I convinced my mother that I really need them, and 2 weeks later, they were mine.
Years later I heard that this Title was a standart book about the German Luftwaffe. Since that I built 72 planes from World War 2. Most of them are in dress cases converted in showcases. 99% are from the german Luftwaffe. Now some ask themselves why even from this time? The revolutionary developments, which made the today's status in aviation only possible, fascinated me.The purpose of these machines in World War 2 is fully conscious to me, and shoudn´t be forgotten.

Da die Zeit für den Modellbau immer knapper wird, erstelle ich seit Jänner 2001 Farbprofile. Mein erstes Farbprofil wurde allerdings schon 1998 erstellt. Diese Focke Wulf Fw 190 F-8 war mein Erstlingswerk. Mehr Farbprofile sind in der Farbprofilgalerie zu finden. 

Since I have less time for model construction, I´m doing colour profiles. My first one, created in 1998 was this Focke Wulf Fw 190 F-8. More profiles are in the gallery!
